Almost everyday you can hear people are losing their jobs due to economy slow down. Manufacturing sector are the most effected because they are manufactured goods that base on demand. When times are bad and people are getting less pay so the pattern of purchasing power become weak. People become more wisely in spending their money. For those who are married with children their priorities are educations and foods rather than spending on luxuries items. They try to safe as much as they can because it's going to take along time for economy to recover. Some of the factories are taking very drastic action by laying off their workers to reduce their losses and some of them are reduced working days. It's a global crisis and many super power economy countries like America, Europe and Japan are most effected. Most of these countries need their government assistants to assist them in term of financial. Bailout are the last resort to make sure the big companies are still in business.
I have a friend who are working in Largest electronic manufacturer in Penang. He still on CNY holiday due to his factory shut down. He told me that he didn't sure whether he still had a job after this long holiday. Thanks god I still have my job because how bad time are, you still need to feed your children because I am working in food industry.
