LIFE : WE CAN ONLY PLAN

I am still in Malacca and waiting my car to be repaired by the foreman. Yesterday, I supposed to drive down to Penang but after refilled my car petrol at Petronas Service Station in Malacca suddenly I smelt a petrol came from my car fuel tank. When I checked under my car I found that my petrol had spilled on the road. Immediately I drove back to my brother house and then he took me to one of his friend's car workshop to check my car. It was heavy rain and by the time I reached there his friend was almost to close his workshop. I told him that "my car has a problem and I need his help to check my car fuel tank because I want to drive down to Penang today", after checking my car he told me that I need to change my fuel hose connector because there was a leakage. Lot things need to be done and I had to leave my car there so that he can repair it the next morning. I didn't have a choice and in the same time not dare to take a risk. I had to stay one more night in Malacca.

I phoned Badrul and he told me that he just came back from his mother's house in Batu Pahat, Johore. He would came later to fecth me at my brother's house for a Teh tarik. I told him" Allah Swt has make his decision that today I must meet my best friend Badrul and no one can change it. Even though my actual plan going down to Penang today". As a human we can only plan but what to happen next is beyond our control. I just can pray so that everything is ok and I want to drive to Penang as soon as possible because I need to work tomorrow.

Celebrating big days such as Aidil Fitri or Aidil Adha is a big event in most of Malay families. These are the time where most of the families members will gather to celebrate and to meet each other. All types of Food and drinks will be served not only to families members but it also mean for a guests. The tradition of visiting neighbour and exchange foods are also part of Malay custom. The children will wear their new cloths and visiting all the neighbour house to collect Angpow. Even though giving Angpow is not a Malay custom but it has been adopted from Chinese tradition and has been accepted to be a part of Malaysian culture. This is a culture of Malaysian that you will never see in other part of the world. It is common to see a Chinese Restaurant to sell Malay or Indian foods and vice versa. When come to celebrate big days, it is a time to have a fun and all houses will be opened to everybody either you know them or not. Today, when everybody are busy to do their own things, the culture of visiting neighbour bit by bit has been eroded from our culture untill into extent we don't ever know who is our neighbour.Wishing to all Muslim friends happy Aidil Adha and whatever we do and sacrifice for our families, nation and religious will be accepted by Allah Swt The Almighty God of Universe.

LIFE : INTERNET

I feel very lonely. My kids and wife at my mother's in law house. I sent them yesterday because I need to do some renovation inside my house, so I have to wait here for the carpenter to do his job. Now I can feel the loneliness without a kids. When they are around you can hear them playing and talking to each other, today it so quiet except the sound from the carpenter doing his renovation.

While waiting for the carpenter to do his job, I continue with my task, sitting in my room in front of my computer and surfing the Internet. Thanks to the technology that you don't have to go anywhere to search an information. As usual I will read all the news from the online news paper and it's mean that you don't have to leave your house to buy a news paper. Sitting in front of the computer searching and reading all the latest news from all over the world in just one touch.

I have been using Internet more than 10 year. when I bought my first desktop computer and it cost me a few thousand ringgit using Pentium 2 and to get connected with Internet, I had to use dial system. That was the only system we had and the provider was Tmnet. The system was too slow and had to wait for a few minute for the page to be download. It produced a sound of dialing before you could connected to the Internet. The weaknesses are, you couldn't use the phone once you connected to the Internet.

Today, the system has changed, by using a broadband surfing the Internet can be very fun and it's took a few second to download the page. The world is borderless and can be reached by one klick in one finger. Thanks again to the Technology but good or bad it's depend on your usage and sincere...................you know what I mean ......

LIFE : TELEVISION..............

Everything in this world has its good and bad points. Television is no exception. However I do not agree with the statement " Television does more harm than good"' On the contrary I think television has more benefits than harm for us.

I, for one have learned and am still learning many things via the television. Through the many programmes I learned much about this earth- its many countries, climates, animals and other things. The images that television brings right to my living room are highly informative. In other words, television keeps me well-informed about things going on in the world.

another important benefit of television is its entertainment value. My family and i have spent many hours being entertained by the best entertainers from around the world, all in the comfort of home. I am a sport fan and watching a sporting event on television is one of the most enjoyable things to me.

As far as I can see, the only instance when television may do harm is when the viewer sits in front of it for long hours at the expense of other things. This is when he or she becomes addicted to watching television. I have heard about such cases, but I am not one of them. As for me, television is certainly a good thing, it does me no harm and I do not think it ever will.

LIFE : MODERN DISEASES

Cardiovascular diseases 40% top number of cases that the hospital sees over the period of time. This is followed by diabetes 20%, some unspecified diseases 15%, cancer 10%, gastrointestinal diseases 10% and AIDS 5%.

It would seem that most people go to the hospital to seek treatment for heart and blood circulation problems. The cause of this malady is attributed to the stressful modern lifestyle that most people live today. Many people suffer from hypertension. This contribute to heart problems if it is not treated adequately. fast food lacking in nutrition makes problem worse.

Diabetes is also associated with our modern hectic lifestyle. soft drinks and food with enormous of sugar in them are consumed in great quantities. The inevitable result is the manifestation of diabetes in increasing number of people.

Unspecified diseases make up about 15% person of diseases recorded by the hospital. these diseases are probably diseases associated with the eye, ear, head, skin, bone, and other parts of the body.

The percentage of people seeking treatment for cancer and gastrointestinal diseases are about the same at 10&. AIDS account for small percentage of cases recorded.

LIFE : FOOD

Food is necessary for our survival. the ordinary person normally has at least three meals a days. What is person eats has a big influence on his or her health. A healthy diet is necessary for a healthy body.

Broadly, food can be put into five categories. They are [1]Cereal, rice, bread, grains, [2] fruits, veggies, [3] meat, poultry, fish, eggs, nuts, beans, [4] milk, dairy product, fats, [5] oils and sweets. Other than the type of food, the method of preparation also effects the quality of the food. Steamed food is healthier than deep-fried food. The reason is obvious. deep-fried food contains a lot of oil and fats. It is important that we eat healthy food so that we stay healthy and not allow our bodies to become easy prey to diseases.

LIFE : MIND YOUR LANGUAGE

I am trying to improve my English writing and yet I still make a lots of mistake in my grammar. Even though I was from English Medium school till form three but I never shown interest in learning proper English during my school days. Now I realised that I made a big mistake for not serious in learning English. I can talk but I can't write with proper grammar. Some people can talk in good English but can't write and some of them are good in writing but they don't have any confident to interact with people. Same thing goes to my French language. When I was in ITM Shah Alam one of my compulsory subject was French and the language was taught by French Lecturer Madam Sebastian who married to Malaysian man. If you make a comparison between French and English language, you will find that to learn French is more complicated and it's need a lots of passion in learning languages. The only ways to improve it with a lots of reading and talking. Don't feel shy when we do a mistake but take it positively. As my friend said " we are not from Cambridge graduate". The most important part is they know what are we talking about. Now I am in process to learn Hokkien because it's related to my daily work and learning will never stop until you die......Thanks to my English advisor.

LIFE : DIGNITY OR EGO

Lately most of my words that I write on my facebook more toward to express my feeling. The feeling of frustrated, happiness and sadness that I would like to share it with all my closer friends. As a normal human being we can't run from the reality that it's a part of human life. As I said " Telling the truth is bitter and telling lie is something sweet".

Why do human lie? Are they lie because of afraid to tell the truth or to hide something that they have done wrong. Why can't human telling the truth if they have done something wrong or admits that they have made a mistake? Some of the human lie to protect their dignity and ego.

When I was a student at the ITM, one of the subject that I learned was costing. Costing involved in graph and chart, so when you wanted to turn it into graph. You had to calculate with a special formula to get break even. This subject was taught by a young lady lecturer who just graduated from one of America's University. She wrote a figure on the white board that need to be turned it into a graph but I noticed she made a mistake in calculation and the line wouldn't meet the break even. I told her that the line wouldn't meet the break even because of wrong calculation but she ignored it and asked all the students to write it inside their note book.

Since I knew it was wrong, I refused to write it. She walked to my table and asked " Why are you not writing ? " I told her " your calculation is wrong." Then she walked away without saying anything. She only admits her mistake two week later. My question is, is it hard to say" sorry I make a mistake" or she might think that she knew everything and " Don't try to teach me ". In other word " who are you ? who want to teach me". That what we call human..............

LIFE : NESTLE'S CARE

I think almost a year I never visit Nestle Northern Office at Wisma TNB. Today I was there to meet Project Manager to discuss about my New Assignment and to inform him about my decision to pull out myself from the Transformer Team. I had to do it because of my knee problem and I told him that I was afraid that I couldn't perform the task efficiently. This was a difficult decision I had made in my life. As a Nestle's staff I always ready to be posted in any division but this time due to health problem I decided to speak up so that I wouldn't make a wrong decision that could effect my work performance. I think it's better to be more transference now rather then regret later. Thanks to my boss and my former exec. in Maggi's Team because I had been chosen and give me opportunity for the task but I had to reject it due to my personal problem. With a spirit of Nestle's Care.
