LIFE : IN THE MONTH OF RAMADHAN........

Ibn Abbas radiyal-laahu anhu says that he heard the Nabi Saw say, Jannah is made frangrant with the sweetest perfumes in Ramadhan. From the very beginning of the year till the end, it is brightly decorated for this month.

And when the first night of Ramadhan appears, a wind blows from beneath Allah Taalla's throne. It is called Mutheerah and causes the leaves of the tree of Jannah to rustle and the door handles to vibrate, thus giving forth such a melodious sound as had never been heard before. The hoor [ women of Jannah] then step forth till they appear in the centre of balconies of Jannah, exclaiming, " Is there anyone asking Allah Taalla for us that Allah Taalla may join us in marriage with him?"

Then these hoors call out: O Ridwan [ keeper of jannah] , what night is this?" He replies : " It is indeed the first night of Ramadhan, when the doors of Jannah are opened to those who observe the fast from among the ummah of Muhammad Saw"

Rasullullah Saw further said: " Allah Taalla says: O Ridwan open the doors of Jannah and Maalik [ keeper of Jahanam], close the doors of Jahanam for those who fast from among the ummah of Ahmad Saw. O Jibraeel, proceed down to the earth and bind all the rebellious Shayaateen, put them in chains, cast them in the oceans, so that they make no mischief, to spoil the fast of the ummah of my beloved Muhammad Saw."

Allah Taalla commands a herald from the heaven to call out three times on each one of the night of Ramadhan: " Is there anyone begging of Methat I may grant him his desire? Is there anyone repentingto Me that I may turn in mercy to him? Is there anyone begging My forgiveness that I may Forgive him? Who is there who shall give a loan to the one Whose wealth does not diminish, and the One Who duly pays back without any deductions?"

Rasullullah Saw saiod further: Every dayat the time of breaking the fast Allah Taalla sets free one million such souls from the fire of Jahanam who had previously been found to deserve Jahanam. On the last night, He sets free as manymore as had beenset free throughout the month,"

" On the night of Lailatul Qadar, Allah Taalla commands the angel Jibraeel to descend to the earth with a large group of angels. Thaewdescend carrying a green flag, which is then planted on the top of the kaabah. Jibraeel alayhis salaam himself has one hundred wings, two of which are spread out on this night only."

He spread out these two wings so that their width extends from east to west, Jibraeel alayhis salaam then sends out the angels in alldirection to offer salutation to anybody they find standing in salaah or sitting, performing salaah or celebrating the praises of Allah Taalla. They shake hands with them and say aameen to all their doa's until dawn,"

When dawn comes, Jibraeel alayhis salaam calls out: " Depart angels of Allah Taalla, depart. The Angels then inquire: O Jibraeel what did Allah Taalla do regarding the needs that the faithful one from among the ummah of Ahmad Saw put before him?" Jibraeel Alayhis salaam replies: allah Taalla looked at them with mery and pardoned them all, except four kinds of people."

Thereupon, we sahaabah inquired: " Who are they, O rasullullah?" Rasullullah Saw [ sallal-laahu alayhi wa salaam] replied: They are the ones who addicted to wine, those disobedient to their parents, those who cut themselves off from their near relatives, and those who habour ill-will against their fellow beings and break off relation with them."

And then the night of Eid at the end of Ramadhan, the night that a called Laylatul jaa'izah[ the night of reward], comes along. On the morning of Eid, Allah Taalla sends down the angels to all the land of the earth, where they take their positions on the streets and lanes calling out with a voice that is heard by all except men and jinn. " O ummah of Muhammad Saw come forth from your houses towards the Sustainer, who is noble and Gracious, Who grants abundantly and pardons the major sins.

When they proceed for their Eid saalah, Allah Taalla says to theangels : What indeed is the reward of that employee wha has rendered full service?" The angels reply " O Sustainer and Master, it is only right that he shall receive his reward in full for his service." Allah Taalla then says, " I call you to witness, O My angels, that for their havingfasted for Mew during Ramadhan and for theirhaving stood before Me in Saalah by night, I have granted to themas a reward My pleasure and have granted them forgiveness. O Myslaves, ask now of Me, for I swear by My Honour and Greatness, that whatsoever you shall beg of Me this day in this assembly of yours, for the needs of your akhirah I shall grant you, and whatever you shall ask for your worldly needs, I shall grant what is to your advantage. By My honour, I swear, as long as you shall obey My commands, I shallcover up your fault. By my Honour and My Greatness, I swear, that I shall never disgrace you in front of the transgressors and disbelieves.

Return now from here, you are forgiven, You have indeed pleased Me and I am pleased you"

The angels, on seeing this great reward bestowed upon the ummah of Muhammad Saw on the day of Eid, become greatlypleased and happy. [ O Allah, makes us among those fortunate ones, aameen]

LIFE : HADISTH LAILATUL QADAR 3

Anas Radiyal-laahu anhu reports that Rasullullah Saw said: On Lailatul Qadar, the angel Jibrail alayhis-salaam descends upon the earth with a group of Angel making doa for blessings for every servant of Allah Taalla whom they see in worship, standing or sitting and engrossed in Allah Taalla's praise. Then on the day of eid Allah Taalla boasts about them to the angel [ who had been critical at the time of Adam 's creation] 'O My angel, what is the reward of that worker who has done his job very well? They reply 'O our Sustainer, his reward should be given to him in full. To this Allah Taalla replies, 'O My Angel, verily My servant, the males among them as well as female, have today duly performed their obligatory duty, thereafter they set forth to place for eid sallah raising their voices in doa to Me. I swear by My Honour, by My Grandeur, by My Grace and by My Exalted Position, that I shall surely answer the Doa of these people.  Thereafter Allah Taalla address the people: Go forth, I have forgiven your sins, and have replaced your evil deeds with righteous ones. these people then return from eid sallah in such condition that their sins stand forgiven.

LIFE : HADITH OF SADAQAH 13

Rasullullah Saw has said that he who strieves to help a needy unmarried woman or a poor person, is like the one who strieves in jehaad and, probably he added, he is like one who prays all night without the slightest, slackness and is like a person who fasts every day of his whole life.

HADITH OF SADAQAH 11

Muhammad Saw has said, " whoever gives clothes to a naked Muslim, Allah Ta'ala will give him a green dress to wear in Jannah; and he who gives something to eat to a hungry Muslim, Allah Ta'ala will feed him with the fruits of Jannah; and the one who gives a drink of water to a thirsty Muslim, Allah Ta'ala will give him a drink of sealed wine of Jannah."

LIFE : HADITH OF SADAQAH 10

Asmaa Radiallho anha has said that Rasullullah Saw told her to spend freely and not to count, otherwise [ if she counted] Allah Ta'ala would give her counted favours; and not to save money, for [ if she did so] Allah Taala will also keep away from her [ will give her less], therefore, she should give as much as possible.

LIFE : HADITH OF SADAQAH 9

Rasullullah Saw has said that once a person in a jungle heard voice from A cloud above , saying, " Go and supply water to such and such person's garden". Thereupon the cloud moved in one direction and rained on a piece of stony land. A channel collected the whole of that water which began to flow in a particular direction. He followed it and came to a place where a man stood with a shovel in hand, diverting the water into his garden. The person asked the man his name, and when he told him, it was the very name he had heard from the cloud. The person then asked him why he had asked his name? The person replied that he had heard a voice coming from the cloud saying, " Go and supply water to such and such person's garden* and it was the same name which he had told him. The person then asked the man, " What he did for the cloud to supply water to his garden." The owner replied that now he has to tell him the truth facts. Whatever produce he got from the garden, he divided it into three equel parts; one part i.e one third of the produce, he gave away promptly as sadaqah, the second part he kept for himself and the family; the remaining one third he spent on the garden itself.

LIFE : HADITH OF SADAQAH 6

Abu hurairah Ra narrates that Rasullullah Saw said, " A man [ from Bani israil] decided to give sadaqah quietly atnight. He took it and placed it in a person's hand. In the morning , people started talking and saying. " last night, sadaqah was given to a thief!" The4 man said. " O Allah, To Thee be Praise! I gave it to a thief! I could do nothing if it had been given to a worse person'. He decided to give a sadaqah again on the following night and put it in a hand of woman not be a thief; he might have thought that a woman would not be a thief. In the morning the people were talking and saying, ' sadaqah was given to a prostitute last night.' The man said ' O Allah, to Thee be Praise! I gave it to a prostitute! My property deserved worse than that'. He decided to give a sadaqah a third time on the following night and placed it in the hand of unknown person. In the morning, the people were talking and saying,' last night, sadaqah was given to a rich man'. The man said 'O Allah, to Thee praise! I gave it to a thief, prostitute and a rich man'! He then had a dream in which he was told that his sadaqah had been accepted. It was given providentially to a thief so that it might result in his refraining from stealing: to a prostitute so that she might repent of the immorality and to the rich man to teach a lesson, so that he may spend out of that which Allah Swt had given him. Following the example of the pious who gave sadaqah, unnoticed".

LIFE: HADISTH SADAQAH 5

Someone asked Rasullullah Saw as to what kind of sadaqah was most rewardable? Rasullullah Saw replied, " When at the time of giving you are in good health, you have greed for wealth, you fear to become poor and have a keen desire to become rich. That is the opportunity; do not postpone it till last moment of your life and then say, " so much to so and so, and so much to that [ masjid] and that much to such and such [ madrasah]. although actually now the property belongs to so and so [heirs] [ MISKAT ]

LIFE : HADITH OF SADAQAH 4

Uqbah Ra has narrated that he offered his asar salaat with Rasullullah Saw. At the end of salaat Rasullullah Saw hastily got up and, stepping over the shoulders of people, went to the houses of one of his wives. People, not knowing what the necessity was, were perplexed over his haste. On his return he preceived the people's anxiety and explained that he had suddenly remembered behind a piece of gold in the house and he was afraid [ lest his death should take place while he owned a piece of gold; which would become objectionable for him on the Day of Reckoning], so, he had hurried home to tell them to distribute it immediately.

Umme Salmah Rha has also narrated a similar incident, She says that once Rasullullah Saw came home looking upset; she thought he was not well and enquired as to what had happened. The reply was the seven Dinaars had been received the previous night and that they were still lying unspent in the conner of his bed.[ Lhya] Rasullullah Saw used to receive present continuously but he spent immediately, whether it was day opr night and whether he was well or unwell. He did not rest content till everything had been spent. So much so that, in the state of serious illness when there was no oil in the lamp and seven gold coins were lying in the house. neither Rasullullah Saw nor Aisha Rha thought of buying some oil with the money!

LIFE : HADITH OF SADAQAH 3

Rasullullah Saw has said, " O son of Adam, it is better for you to give away what you can spare, and to withold it is worse for you; but you will not be blamed if you keep back what may barely suffice you, and spend first on those who are dependent on you".

Abu Saeed Khudri Ra narates that once he was among those who were accompanying Rasullullah Saw on a journey. One of the companions kept moving up and down the caravan with his she camel. At this, Rasullullah Saw said if someone had a spare animal for riding he should give it away to the one who had none, and whoever had extra provision should give these to them who were in need. The Sahabah surmised from this that no one had any right to his provision beyond his actual need. [ Abu Dawood]

LIFE : HADITH OF SADAQAH 2

Rasullullah Saw said, " two angels come down [ from the heaven ] every morning ; one prays, ' O Allah, grant a return to him who spends, while the other prays, ' O Allah, destroy the wealth of him who withholds it".

Hafiz Ibne Hajar Rahmatullah alaihe says, " when the property is hoarded, it bring ruin in its wake : very often the property is ruined: sometimes the owner himself passes away, leaving behind everything, or he is ruined through leading a vicious life. On the contrary, those who spend [ for a good cause] are blessed with inrease in their property".

According to a hadist, " whoever gives much sadaqah, Allah Himself looks after his property after his death." [Lhya].

KEHIDUPAN : HADISTH 21 [FADHILAT AMAL]

Apabila tiba lailatulqadar Allah saw akan memerintahkan Jibrail a.s. supaya turun bersama satu kumpulan besar malaikat. Bersama mereka terdapat bendera hijau. Jibrail a.s. mempunyai seratus sayap.

KEHIDUPAN : HADISTH 20 [FADHILAT AMAL]
