LIFE : TRUE FRIENDSHIP

We can be surrounded with many friends. A friends that willing to share your happiness, sadness and loneliness. As people say, There are lots of friends who can laugh with you when your pocket is full with money but when you don't have money then only you will realise who are the true friends. A friends that really concern about you are the most difficult to find.

When I was studied in primary school in Kampung Kuantan Kuala Selangor, I had a best close friend. Both of us were in the same classroom. We stayed at same small town in Pasir penambang. We went to school together and even after school we would studied and played together. Since we were too close to each other and my family treat him like my own family member. We shared everything even money and food. Both of us were agreed to pay our foods followed by turn . Today he will pay and the next day will be my turn to pay for the foods. So you can imagine how close we are.

Our father was a government's servant and both of them were subject to be transferred from one place to another place, we were separated because of following our father. My father was transferred to Port Dickson where as his father was transferred to Kapar klang as a Headmaster of Primary school. For a few months we keep on touch by sending letter but suddenly everything had changed and no letter replied from him.

Even though it was 39 years ago but I still can remember his name Mohd Rizwan bin Abd. samad till today and last address was Sekolah Kebangsaan Kapar Klang. I still searching him to bring back all our both sweet memories together. Even though we were just nine years old but both of us know the meaning of friendship. The name that I will be remembered forever.

LIFE : GOOD LESSON

Last sunday Jamal and I was in USJ Subang Jaya attending Zul's Aidil fitri open House. We arrived a bit late at Zul 's house because Jamal need to replace his Kia Sportage tyres at Klang. He told me that in Klang he could get a good price if compared to Sitiawan. Since both of us were not familiar with the Klang area so he phoned his friend to guide us. We went into two tyre shops to compare the price. The first shop offered him RM 320 included balancing and alignment and the second offered was lowered by Rm 5. He took the second shop offered but he only realised that the alignment was not included when the shop owner charged him for it. At the end he paid more then what he expected. I told him that " sometime we think that we win but actually we are loosing just because of too calculative." I think it will be a good lesson to him.

On the way back to Ipoh after the Open house, we went to his friend's house to show him the new tyres and he got another surprised bad news. His friend told him that the tyres was almost expired because the date was printed there 2007. From his face I knew that he wasn't happy with it and felt that he was been cheated by the tyre shop. I just kept quiet. Along the way back he kept on nagging. I told him stopped blaming yourself because sometime thing happen beyond our control, we should think carefully and wisely before buying things. Then he told me that the first thing in tomorrow morning he will phone the shop and he want some explanation regarding the tyres and try to force the shop to replace a new tyres. Since I wasn't interested to hear him kept on nagging, I just closed my eye. When I waked up, it was 2 Am and I already arrived at Manjung in front of his house. I entered his house and continued my sleeping.

LIFE : AIDIL FITRI OPEN HOUSE AT USJ

Aidil fitri open house at Zul's house in USJ and also Tajjuddin wedding aniversary. So we call it all in one. Lots of joke, memories and the most important part we still together. LIFE : SHE SO HAPPY NOW..........

I did mentioned on my previous blog regarding friend of mine who received a retrenchment letter plus retrenchment benefit and she was so happy to receive it. Now she in Bukit Gambang Resort City Kuantan as an Executive Housekeeper with good salary offered. The biggest resort in East coast of Malaysia. So, no wander why she was so happy to leave the Lakeclub in Kuala Lumpur. To me she deserved to receive that post because of her experiences in hospitality industry. Yesterday I tried to call her, she picked up the phone but couldn't talk too long with me because she had to give morning briefing to her staff. She promised to return my call later when she free. This morning she phoned me just to say sorry for not return my call yesterday. She was too busy and lots thing need to be done even though the resort not fully operation yet. According to her they just open the first phase and the second phase is still under construction. The resort is so big complete with water theme park and man made lake. Even though not officially opening yet but the resort start to receive guest and fully book till end of year. She said average 2 to 3 thousand visitors on weekend to visit the water theme park. She invite me and my family to stay at the resort with special discount on the room rate and before we end up the phone call she ask me to call her if I have make a decision to visit the resort for my next family holiday. I just said thanks and hopefully I will get a free stay at the resort. She just laughed.........

LIFE : SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN......

A friend of mine has been given a task to handle Ika's by his Exec. Ika's stand for International Key Account those are the big Hypermarket such as Carefour, Giant, Tesco and Jusco. He is covering Bkt. mertajam and Sungai Petani area with a total target of Rm 6 million. Entitle him to be called The Six million dollar man for Sale area 2 team. He told me that It's not easy to handle such a big Hypermarket because they won't listen to you even though it is our responsible to suggest order according to their stock balance. The bigger they are the headache you are. If anything should happen in term of out of stock or etc and you are responsible to it. Than I told him, whatever you do, everything must be recorded to prove that you have done your job. Same thing goes to those who handle RHTOs. The buyers are trained to squeeze you for a good bargain and trade offers. where esle we are trained to be more professional in handling buyers for a win win situation. Different buyers with different approach. At the end of the days only numbers is counted to judge you how good you are to persuade or convince the buyers and how much can you bring a sale to the company.

LIFE : SOMETIME.........

Life is not a fairytale. This is a phrase that I always tell to my colleague. As a human we have been gifted with feeling and mood. Happy, sad, good or bad is part of our life that we cannot avoid. You can be happy in the morning suddenly it change to sad in the evening. You can be receiving a good news in the evening than you receive a bad news on the next day. Can we have a power to avoid it. No because it is part of our life. This morning as usual once I step into the office I will greet to everybody either in Bahasa or in Hokkien. Morning, Char or Cho Sun. Walked into the pantry to wash my hand and met one of my colleague preparing her drink. From her face I knew that something was bordering in her mind. So I asked her " Are you ok?" she said "no". Then she told me that one of her outlet had gave her a problem and she need to settle it urgently. She couldn't sleep last night because of that problem. She told me that actually it's not her mistake but it is done by the outlet it self, so they asked her to help them. She had contacted KL to inform them that matter but received a bad news because they weren't accountable something mistake that done by the outlet. She had to settle it internally with FSE.

Nothing much I could help just cool her down. I told her I had been facing the same situation before like her but I managed to handle it with a help from other colleague. As a sale person we can't avoid a problem that create by the outlets. There always a solution but it's depended how close you are with the outlets. Once you can settle it, the outlet will respect you and the outlet is belong to you. Do what you want to do. I just hope that her problem will be solved and I shall like to see her smiling face again tomorrow............

LIFE : REMINDER

Received a phone call from Ctm twice just to inform regarding the gathering at Zul's Restaurant in Subang Jaya next week. Then she phoned me again this evening and informed me that the gathering had been cancelled to following week due to tight schedule from other colleague. Badrul can't make it because he is going to visit Indonesia for a week. Than I have to attend Maggi Road Show on this coming Thursday and not free until Sunday. Mai has planned her holiday with her sister to Langkawi and will come back on Sunday. So Ctm decided to postpone it to this coming 25th of July. I still not sure for what purpose of this coming gathering. Ctm just make a joke that someone had agreed to sponsor the gathering from her retrenchment's benefit and would like to treat us for lunch. They are waiting for my confirmation. I met Badrul at Malaysia Istimak on last Saturday and he did mention to me about the gathering and told me that they really hope that I will be joining them. Anyway thanks to all my colleague for the invitation. Atleast I know that I still have a close friend to remind me my birthday.

LIFE : EX-HOTCAT

Just came back from surau and then one of the Jemaah asked me "why I didn't update my blog" and I told him that my last updated on Tuesday. Then I sat in front of the computer and checked my Email, News in Malaysiakini and facebook. Thru my facebook's notification I found that two friends were available to chit chat Madia and Yati Azhar. As usual I would just said hello and exchanged any good news from them since most of my friends are staying in Kuala Lumpur. We still keep in touch with each other specially with the Xhotcat member. Xhotcat is a short form of Ex- Student of Hotel and Catering Management ITM Shah Alam. We try to gather atleast one a year and the most active members are from the batch of 1983-1986.

Most of them are Professionals and expert in Education, Industrial, Catering, Tourism and Hotel management. Anyway most of them are very busy with their works and we only managed to meet some of them when we organised a gathering for Ex-Hotcat members. The only mode of communication is by Xhotcat member group Email. This is the only way how we communicate to each other to catch up with the latest news among us. Included one friend who was migrate to United State after following her husband an American.

LIFE : ONE MILLION MAN

Back to the Task force again after two months was assigned temporarily as sale rep taking care of Butterworth area. Good things about it is hitting target two months in the row despite a lot of obstacles. This time my Task force job will be more focused and I was given a target that was consolidated from four CHHK's Sale Rep end up almost one million Ringgit. So, can call me One Million Dollar Man. My task is to monitor their sale and make sure that the four of them hitting their own target then only I will receive my full incentive. It's only hitting target matter.

OAJ was given me a big task to organise a big event on this coming Saturday and Sunday. There will be a special direct selling on that particular day. Preparations of the event had been done and tomorrow I will be presenting it to all my colleague for their participation. Lots of things need to be done, I just need the team work to make it a successful event. Yesterday I learned a new thing about computer system. Drilling a data from the Nestle 's Report Manager on distribution of products. This will be parts of my Task Force function to monitor distribution of new products , monthly key activities and monthly products distribution target. Market work with all Sale Reps that whom are assigned under me to assist them in term of sale, distribution and projects execution. In other words speed to target.

I stayed a bit late yesterday at the office just to learn the new things and then I had a dinner with Yusri after that. I was suppose to bring him to my favourite Hailam fried rice, unfortunately the restaurant was closed so we just went to the next restaurant and we had a good Nasi goreng ayam. Sembang-sembang till 10.30 pm. Anyway thanks to Yusri, OAJ and John for teaching me the news things about drilling data.

LIFE : DESTINY FOR FOUR

Actually I just heard the rumour that Din married again from his colleague but I wanted confirmation from himself. I asked Yusuf last week whether did he met Din or not. He told me that he's on leave for one week and will come back on next week. Last Monday I saw him, immediately I pulled his hand to one corner and asked him to talk to me honestly " Din did you marry again" he told me " Yes" and just came back from Hong Kong attended Amway Convention with his new businesswoman wife. I couldn't believe that he had completed his marry quota. Subhanallah.

I just can't imagine how he's going to spend his time with all his wives. One in kedah, One in Kelantan, one in Penang and the latest in Perak. Of course the first, second and third they knew each other but how about the fourth. Un believable but he can do it because he can afford to marry four women physically and financially. Anyway he's talented person and the way he talk will really make women fall in love with him. In other word make their heart melt like a ice in the hot sun. That's what we call destiny to marry four and not everybody will be granted to that destiny by Allah SWT.

LIFE : WHEN YOU START THINKING..........

Yesterday Shukor called and asked me why I didn't turn up for the birthday party. Just said sorry couldn't make it because I had to complete my office work. I need to organise all my photo that I had taken and turn it into power point for my boss to present on his coming ABM meeting. Then Madia sent me sms and told that Razak Budin asked her" why I didn't come ?". She couldn't answer the question. Anyway she told me that they really had a fun meeting with old friends but Zul seem not happy because Badrul and me weren't there.

Today I am started to think, why must I turn down the birthday party invitation specially the party was organised by Zul for Madia. To them that was a special event and they really hoped that me and Bad should came to join in. Lately I always ask myself " do I need to change my life style due to my age?". As quote saying " Age is just a number but it's depended on your heart". Did I tried to run from somebody in my life? The answer could be very sensitive to other. Either "yes" or "no" that's not the answer but there is something bothering in my mind. Anyway that is nothing to do with the letter. May be I am going to reach 50 another 3 years kot...............

LIFE : BIRTHDAY PARTY AGAIN AT KL

Just came back from Aso dinner at Safira Club. The dinner was organised by Aik Jin and paid by Mr Boon. This special treat actually for hitting January and February target but Aik Jin told us that the dinner was also for thanking in advance to hit the March target. Even though we a far behind from actual daily target but we have a postive thinking that we will make it. The dinner also to say thank to Mr cheah Miss Eileen both of them CHHK staff will be resigned effective 1 April, so I have to cover both of their sale area plus with my task force project. Next month onward I will have a target to work on beside my task force.

During the dinner I received a phone call from Zul to inform the tomorrow birthday party event at his restaurant in Subang Jaya. He persuade my to joint in because Razak Budin will come to the party. En. Razak was my course mate in ITM. After graduated we never met him again. Now he attach with MAS as Air Stewart for International flight. Zul told me that it will be a time for us to meet all our colleague again. It sound great and fun party but I still can't decide to go or not.

Even Bad called my this evening regarding the birthday party. He also can't decide to attend the party because he have alot thing to do and he will let me know. Actually it's going to see a same face and same person who attend the party because we are closed to each other. I will decide it tomorrow because I always no proper planing what ever I do. Anyway thank you zul for the invitation to Puan Madia's birthday party.

LIFE : ZUL AND EZAM BIRTHDAY

Ezam dan Zul berkongsi Kek untuk harijadi mereka yang dibuat di Rumah Ezam Taman Senawang Seremban. Satu batang lilin cukup kerana dikhuatiri tiada tempat untuk cucuk lilin kerana usia yang begitu meningkat.

Ctm sedang ceduk makanan biasa le, baru sampai dengan Shukor.

Sambil makan, sambil bergosip cerita terkini dikalangan member-member.

Tetamu yang dijemput hanyalah member-member yang rapat sahaja. Bolehlah juga dikatakan small reunion gathering.

Ezam dengan anak lelakinya yang baru berusia dua bulan. Zul, Kintan samad dan Madia tergelak mendengar cerita Zul yang lawak dan suka mengusik.

LIFE : REALITY OF LIFE

When we talk about birthday, do you know that our life become shorter and near to expiry date. It can be by a second, minute, hour, day, month or year. It's depended on which angel you see it. Some may say that, today I am 45 years old and I have been living in this world for 45 years. In reality , if god fix that our age will be until 60, it mean that we have only 15 years balance to go to live in this world. It's might sound negative but that is a reality of life. God is great and He never tell us when is our expiring date, so be humble and be a good person as much as you can before it too late. Some may not agree with me but it's up to you to think and analyze about it.

KEHIDUPAN : MENCAPAI IMPIAN

Baru balik dari Manjung rumah kakak kerana menghantar barang yang dipesannya untuk kenduri anak lelakinya yang nombor dua. Kali ini agak berlainan sedikit kerana kenduri anak lelaki sulungnya untuk tetamu kanak-kanak diberinya jeli tetapi kali ini agak istimewa iaitu Nestle breakfast cereal LCP 20gm. Sudah tentu akan menjadi satu hadiah yang istimewa buat kanak-kanak kerana belum pernah lagi dibuat orang setakat ini.

Sempat juga bertemu member lama Jamalludin Hassan di Kamdar Manjung, beliau sedang membuat tempahan langsir untuk Apartmen barunya diTelok Senangin dalam kawasan Swiss Garden Resort. Sudah berkhawin tetapi hidup membujang kerana isteri dan anak lelaki beliau masih lagi di Jepun kerana isterinya warganegara Jepun, agak menarik juga tetapi beliau beritahu bukan mudah untuk beristerikan orang asing kerana banyak dugaan dan cabaran yang harus dihadapi kerana berbeza budaya dan adat resam. Jamal menjangkakan dua atau tiga tahun lagi isterinya akan duduk diMalaysia setelah selesai segala urusan rumahnya di Jepun.

Kemudian singgah dikedai perabot second hand hotel dibelakang Kamdar. Perabotnya berkualiti dengan harga yang berpatutan sekali. Hanya tinjau-tinjau dulu sebelum buat keputusan kerana Apartment masih dalam renovation. Sekurang-kurangnya dapat gambaran bagaimana untuk menghiasi Apartment barunya. Dalam kesibukan beliau masih sempat lagi untuk berbicara tentang berniaga kerana beliau dalam rancangan untuk memelihara ikan keli katanya. Kenal sangat dengan beliau kerana dari dulu lagi beliau cukup aktif dalam urusan berniaga part time. Dari perabot hingga kepada bidang makanan. Sempat juga pelawa aku untuk jadi partnernya untuk buka kopitiam di Manjung. Aku sekadar mengangguk je.

Singgah makan di Uncle Zam dekat manjung, aku pesan Nasi Ayam dan beliau hanya makan roti sahaja patutlah boleh jadi kaya kerana cukup jimat orangnya. Lepas makan aku ajak kerumah kakak aku dan beliau tidak menolak tetapi sekejap sahaja kerana beliau ada class untuk mengajar. Aku tanya dia " bukankah hari ini public holiday" beliau menjawab " part time class, satu jam Rm100.00" kerana beliau mengajar out campus di UITM Sri Iskandar dalam bidang pengkhususan Global Business Studies. Buat duit je siang malam.

Sebelum bertolak balik ke Butterwort, Hafizal rakan sekerja semasa di Teluk Intan talipon dan beliau tengah mengecat Tadika di Manjung katanya. Singgah sebentar untuk berbual. Aku tanya dia " apa yang kome rajin benor mengecat tadika ini tengah buat kerja amal ke" lantas beliau menjawab " tak lah inikan tadika orang rumah teman" terdiam sekejap kerana tiga buah rumah telah diubah suai untuk dijadikan pusat asuhan kanak-kanak. Isteri beliau memang ada kelayakan dan lesen untuk menjalankan perniagaan tersebut. " hai, kaya le kamu ye dan bila kome nak berhenti korje" beliau menjawab " tak boleh le kerana Nestle tu teman nak ambil benefitnya dan biar le isteri teman menjaganya" " kaya,kaya " jawab saya.

Nampaknya semua member-member berlumba-lumba untuk mencapai impian mereka dengan berniaga dan buat partime sedangkan aku ni masih ditakuk lama, bukan apa memang dari dulu lagi prinsip aku buat satu kerja dalam satu masa.

LIFE : FRIEND

A friend is not someone that is always there for you when you need help, but someone that you are always there for when they need help. If someone you call a friend is always on your doorstep when they need your help but are nowhere to be found when you need their help, that’s not a friend. Friendship carries with it the responsibility to always treat the relationship with consideration and it is never to be abused.

LIFE : COLLECTION OF MOMENTS

Life is a made up of a collection of moments. Some people say that one must learn from obstacles that everyone struggle with. Some people say that every challenge help to achieve strength of character in our life. When I was a student in 1983 to 1986, I always wanted to be a responsible person toward my family and society. When I first came to ITM Shah Alam, I came here by myself. I paid all the fees with my own pocket money from my own saving. My first step to find a part time job so that I could depend myself rather then on my dad and my family. Every weekend I did a part time job at Holiday Inn Hotel and Raintree club in Kuala Lumpur but now they had gone and out of business. Even thought it was difficult at the beginning, it was a valuable lesson to me. From there I met Zul a successful famous Briyani House Restaurant owner cum Caterer in Subang Jaya town and Shah Alam Tesco. He married to my course mate Mai and both of them become my close friend till today.

LIFE : WEDDING INVITATION

It will be a long Chinese new year holiday. No plan how I am going to spend my holiday with my family yet.suddenly I received a phone called from my old friend Jamal last Thursday and he asked me , " Did Madia invited you for her daughter wedding in Kuantan?" I replied " yes". So, are you going? I said "no"." why are you not going , since she is your close friend." Jamal asked me. I replied " no Jamal ,my wife and my kids are not feeling well. " Actually I have my own reason why I am not going even though Madia is my close friend. " are you sure, you don't want to go because most of our xhotcat friends are going and they are planning to have a special barbecue at night after the wedding ceremony. we can meet all our old friends" Jamal said. " It sound great, anyway Thank you Jamal for calling me and I would like to wish you happy holiday".

Jamal was my senior when I was in ITM. He went to Japan for a special training under Japanese Government sponsorship for one year. When he came back to Malaysia, he had to continue his studied and was reattached to my class. From there both of us become close friend . After completed his studied at ITM Shah Alam, he further his studied again at Japan. Then he met and married to a Japanese wife.Now he is a Senior lecturer at ITM Sri Iskandar Perak.
