LIFE : ONE MILLION RINGGIT MAN

I have to start all over again and Monday will be my new chapter of life. Covering modern trade is not as simple as traditional trade. In modern trade you have to approach in more professional manner because most of the modern trade buyers are trained to squeeze you for good bargain and best trade offer. I have to cover two dealers one in Bukit mertajam and the other one is in Pengkalan Hulu. Two dealer with two different environment area. Bukit Mertajam will be more to urban lifestyle where as Pengkalan Hulu is more likely to sub-urban and surrounded with kampung area. I did my pre-visit last week and I can see two different kind of purchasing power between  two particular area. Most of the International key accounts are located in Bukit Mertajam and Butterworth areas such as Tesco, Giant and carrefour plus local national accounts comprise of  Billion and The Store groups. Total contribution is almost one million ringgit to both dealers. The big challenge in front of me and I will take it as a challenge to proof that I am worth a One Million Ringgit Man to the company. Hope for the best and it's time for me to push the limit of my negotiation skill in more professional way..........

LIFE : TEMPER

Can we control temper? Can we minimise the temper temperature  or stay cool? That is the question regularly  asked by most people. Temper is bad  because once we loose our temper we tend to make more mistake and later we feel regret about it. Some said that don't ever let temper over rule you, once it over rule you, it will keep your mind out of control and it will lead to drastic action beyond human imagination.  Temper will lead to anger and anger will lead you to a wrong judgement. If you feel temper or anger please follow this instruction. If you are Muslim take ablution and pray to Allah, if you are standing, sitting down to cool down the anger and  if you feel anger toward your family due to the personal problem walk out from your house and go to the place that can calm down and relax then analyze what make you anger? Is that worth to feel anger toward my family just because I have a personal problem? They didn't do nothing wrong why  should I throw my anger toward them? Even though it's easy to talk about it the question is can we make it?.............

Yesterday I wrote in my facebook a word of humble and how to be humble? So I searched it in Internet and  I found  that the meaning of humble in one of online dictionary as above, humble is a contrast to egoism. How to wash away the egoism by regularly washing the toilet. Some will not agree with me but it's proofed. Humble doesn't mean that you let others to step on your head but to be firmed and know when to use it.

 

LIFE : LEARNING WILL NEVER STOP

Yesterday I met one of my colleague at The Tesco Hypermarket in Seberang Jaya after the Friday prayer, then we went to the food court for  a lunch. During our lunch we had a bit of discussion on the new job function. I told  my colleague that John is going to Yong peng, Johore next week for his new assigment as a Key Account Excutive so he has to handover all the outlet under him to me as soon as possible because time is very crucial. I need to learn lot of new things because I haven't doing any sales for the past 3 years so I need to catch up a lot things specially  Key Account Management. Even though isn't an easy task but I will learn. I have to learn from a young guy who is very energetic compare to my age. John told me that he is not going to teach me how to do sales because to him I'm  an experience veteran salesman. The only thing that he can help me to bring back the fire inside me and motivate me to be more aggressively in doing sales. Time has change and the method of doing sales also has change the only thing now we have to change our mindset positively and don't ever let our  age as a barrier to stop from learning. Learning will never stop until you died. Last but not least he told me " If you don't have any  intention to go further due to your age but please fight for your job survival and for your family because thousand of people outside there are jobless" Thanks John I will take your advice............................. 

LIFE : THANKS GUY.

Yesterday I worked with my colleague for outlet hand over. A young and energetic guy with good look and personality. One thing I learned form him yesterday a nice quote that I am going to use it to fire up my spirit to work  harder and for my career survival. He told me that " Don't worry about the past because the past is already gone,don't worry to much about the future, worry about today because today will lead you to future"............

Yesterday was the most crucial time for all Nestle Northern Region staff in Business Unit. It's between life and death of our future . As a Muslim we belief whatever been written by god we  have to accept it as a fate but it's a human nature the feeling of insecure and worry is part of our of life. Yesterday all Nestle staff from whole Malaysia were attending a special video conference in same date and time throughout Malaysia to hear the message about the project Dolphin that been given by Nestle Managing Director. Nestle is going toward High Performance Organisation so in line toward that some new alignment and restructuring have to be done to ensure the company on track. After the video conference we were divided into two groups in two different rooms. We been called one by one to accept two types of letter in two type of an envelope. Big envelope with brown colour and small envelope with white colour. Those who were received a white envelope were safe but those who were received a big brown envelope been given two option to choose either Vss or early retirement. White envelope contain of re-designated of new job function, in other word we were  re-employed by the company. So no more rumours, assuming and predictions. Everybody already knew their fate and everything were clearly stated inside the envelope. Those who are still with the company a big challenge is waiting in front of us and to those who were been given early retirement we all wish good luck and spend the money wisely to built up new life. Anyway thanks to Allah Swt I still have my job with new job function and direction.
